This wine journey is a unique way to discover natural sites, heritage landmarks, charming villages and their unusual wine cellars. The itinerary includes several stages leading you gradually to the south of the Loire.
The Vineyard Journey includes 11 stops, which you can explore on your own thanks to a guide provided by Nantes Tourisme. This route lets you discover the Nantes wine region through a selection of cellars and estates run by passionate winemakers.
You’ll have the pleasure of discovering the Château du Coing, the Château de Goulaine, and the town of Clisson, nicknamed “Little Tuscany.”
By car:
The “Vineyard Journey” signage will guide you through every step of the route.
By bike:
Take the towpath along the Sèvre from Nantes to Vertou, then follow the bike route to Le Pallet train station. Expect around 2 hours for this 25km ride.
On foot:

On water:
Peaceful and wild, explore by canoe, kayak or paddleboard on the Sèvre.
Nantes Wine Tour invites you to discover the Nantes Vineyard by minivan with a visit to a wine estate and a tasting of its wines. This excursion is organized by Nantes Tourisme, and you can book online (80 € for 1 to 7 people max).
