The summer trip to Nantes
Every summer, Nantes is transformed into an open-air museum thanks to "Voyage à Nantes."
This iconic event attracts visitors from around the world who come to admire the urban itinerary punctuated by contemporary works of art, unusual installations, and unique cultural events.
The 2025 edition, under the theme of "Strangeness," will be held from June 28 to August 31 throughout the city of Nantes.
Don't miss this summer event to discover or (re)discover Nantes from a new perspective.
This summer, the streets, squares, parks, and even the rooftops of Nantes will be adorned with contemporary creations.
The artistic itinerary of "Voyage à Nantes" will stretch for several kilometers and feature some forty unusual stops. To this end, international artists have been invited to take over public spaces with works that are often spectacular, sometimes ephemeral.
Among the highlights of 2025:
the work by Colombian artist Ivan Argote on the Louis XVI column, Place du Maréchal Foch;
the sculpture of a pregnant woman in Place Graslin;
the fountain in Place Royale revisited by Dutch artist Willem de Haan.
Other works will be on display at the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, near the Machines de l'Île, and at the Saint Nazaire estuary.
Free and accessible to all, the Voyage à Nantes is aimed at art lovers, families, and the curious alike.
Numerous concerts, screenings, and performances will enliven the city throughout the event. This is the perfect opportunity to explore the city in a different way, in a friendly and creative atmosphere.
