An open-air event

All this summer, Nantes is transformed into an open-air museum with the Summer Trip to Nantes. This major artistic event offers a unique route each year, punctuated by ephemeral installations, contemporary works of art and convivial spaces.

In 2024, it is the tree that will be in the spotlight, exploring its multiple facets through original and above all immersive creations.

An artistic journey outside

The Summer Journey invites you to stroll and explore along a route where the works of art follow one another, but are not alike.

This year, the Japanese article Tadashi Kawamata takes over public space with his poetic and dreamlike installations, made from natural elements. Among the other highlights:

• The monumental creation of Christophe Jaccaud, an interactive sound sculpture
• The participatory work of Claire Fontaine

These two works introduce you to thinking about the place of nature in the city.

Exhibitions and activities for all

In parallel with the outdoor installations, the summer Journey to Nantes continues with a rich schedule of exhibitions and activities.

A moment of sharing between generations

The festival is also an opportunity to enjoy the friendly atmosphere that reigns in the city.
