The Erdre 2026 Meetings in Nantes
From August 24 to 30, 2026, Les Rendez-vous de l’Erdre will once again bring Nantes and the towns along the Erdre River and the Nantes-Brest Canal to life.
Since 1987, this free and iconic late-summer festival has combined two perfectly complementary worlds: jazz and classic boating.
For a week, open-air concerts, a friendly atmosphere, and parades of vintage boats enliven the quays in a unique setting.
With nearly 120 concerts spread across 15 towns in Loire-Atlantique, the event remains one of the largest free jazz festivals in France!
At the beginning of the week, the festival will take place along the Nantes-Brest Canal, in a natural environment conducive to musical discoveries and encounters with artists.
Several towns also host boats from the flotilla that will then join the Erdre River for the big Nantes weekend.
From Thursday to Sunday, concerts will abound, punctuated by the historic boats and various musical stopovers:
In Nantes, the heart of the festival beats from Friday to Sunday with several stages set up along the quays.
The program blends contemporary jazz, swing, blues, original compositions, and concerts for young audiences.
As every year, the festival will bring together some of the biggest names in French and international jazz, as well as many emerging artists.
The Rendez-vous de l’Erdre will charm you with its musical diversity and welcoming atmosphere.
An opportunity for jazz lovers, curious onlookers, and casual strollers to gather in a relaxed atmosphere by the water.
Off-site concerts and an "Off" program in several Nantes cafes and cultural venues will allow you to extend your experience throughout the city.
The festival's other major feature is its impressive flotilla of vintage boats.
Along the Erdre River, spectators can admire historic vessels sailing between the various participating towns. A veritable floating open-air museum, this nautical gathering is now one of the largest in France.
On weekends, the boats return to Nantes to offer a unique spectacle in the heart of the city.
