The biggest nautical festival in Western France
In 2025, Nantes and 16 other towns and cities will be honouring sailing transport with a timeless festival: Débord de Loire. For the past 4 editions, this is an opportunity to see around a hundred boats parading on the estuary. The quayside also hosts exhibitions and conferences on maritime transport and ecological issues.
Water at the heart of the discussions
For several days, come and meet the local players and discover the natural heritage through :
- Unusual tours of the ships
- A wide range of workshops
- Participatory shows (dance, brass band, etc.)
"Faites du vélo", another of the festival's battles
The Nantes-based association "Place au Vélo" is joining forces with the festival to publicise its campaign to promote the use of bicycles as a means of daily transport.
Take advantage of the festival to explore the riverbanks on two wheels. It's a great initiative that gives the event a whole new perspective.
